We love Joanna Cassidy for her roles in films that we have been devoted to such as the groundbreaking “Blade Runner”, but did you know she has worked with so many iconic actors?
Steve McQueen, Jason Robards, Gene Hackman, Pierce Brosnan, Michael David Hall, Rachel Griffiths, Walter Matthau, George C. Scott, Bruce Dern, Dick Van Dyke just to name a few. She has graced the screen, large and small, in dozens of beloved films and television series.
She’s been mother to the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Winona Rider, James Franco, Jolene Blalock, John Hawkes, John Hamm, well she’s been everyone’s mom!
Joanna was born in Camden, New Jersey. She grew up in a creative environment as the daughter and granddaughter of artists. At an early age she engaged in painting and sculpture and went on to major in art at Syracuse University in New York. She has continued to be devoted to these arts as well as being a dedicated animal activist.
There is a LIST of awards she’s won or been nominated for including winning a Golden Globe, 2 Canadian Emmys (Best Comedy Actress), and won a Spanish Oscar “Sant Jordi” as Best Foriegn Actress. Even a Streamy!

She’s just finished filming a Hillary Duff film, a Esai Morales film, My True Fairytale and many other new titles coming soon. Our Joanna has worked steadily through the Pandemic.
