“If you’re curious about the inner workings of Babylon 5, look no further. This book is straining its spine with pictures and stories from behind the scenes on the space station.”
“The business of Hollywood is daunting, tiring and certainly has its seedier side and Pat pulls no punches. You get her story, warts and all.”
“I’m pleased to announce that Patricia Tallman is releasing a revised and expanded edition of her 2011 book, PLEASURE THRESHOLDS: PATRICIA TALLMAN’S BABYLON 5 MEMOIR. I edited the original edition while working for B5 Books, and I’ve done the same on this reissue, which includes a new introduction from Pat, new material integrated into the four original chapters, an all-new fifth chapter (which opens with the 2013 B5 reunion in Phoenix and brings you right up to date with her newest venture, Quest Retreats), and lots of new pictures (including one of me directing the B5 CAST REUNIONS interview in 2015 and all three pages of the contract Bester manipulated Lyta to sign in “Moments of Transition” [414]).”
– Jason Davis, editor
“Pat has a friendly, informal style, and reading the book makes you feel like you are there, in the room with her, captivated by her storytelling.”
CONTENT WARNING
Language and situations described in this book make it suitable for adults only.
There are hundreds of candid photographs (seeing the late Richard Biggs, Andreas Katsulas, Michael O’Hare and Jeff Conaway brought tears to my eyes), an enclosed disc with photos, videos, audio commentary and an interview with Pat conducted by series creator J. Michael Straczynski. Beyond all the extras, there is Pat’s story. Written as if you joined her for a few pints in a pub, the conversational tone she takes with the reader is comfortable, witty and heart-felt. The business of Hollywood is daunting, tiring and certainly has its seedier side and Pat pulls no punches. You get her story, warts and all.I just wish all stars were this honest.
